“Baltic Trust 2026” Training Exercise

The successful execution of large-scale training exercises requires more than thorough organisational planning. It also depends on reliable technological infrastructure, stable communications, and the ability to respond quickly to unforeseen challenges. During Baltic Trust 2026, LIRA 7 undertook a wide range of responsibilities – from providing internet connectivity and data transmission infrastructure to delivering technical support, developing the event’s visual identity, and coordinating external service partners. Our objective was to ensure that all technical and organisational solutions worked seamlessly together, allowing participants and organisers to focus on what mattered most – the successful execution of the exercise.

Technical Support – Prepared for the Unexpected

One of the project’s most significant challenges was the limited time available for infrastructure deployment. Although preparations and technical planning had been underway for several months, only 48 hours before the official opening were available to install and prepare the necessary infrastructure across the exercise locations.

Every stage of the process was carefully planned – from selecting technical solutions and preparing equipment to scheduling installation activities, managing logistics, and coordinating the teams involved. Thanks to detailed preparation and the team’s efficient execution, all required infrastructure was deployed and ready within the allocated timeframe. The conclusion of the project was equally demanding. Following the completion of the exercise, all installed infrastructure and equipment were dismantled and removed within just 24 hours. This approach reflects the LIRA 7 philosophy: efficiency is not about rushing. It is the result of precise planning, thorough preparation, and a team that knows exactly what needs to be done and when.

One of LIRA 7’s primary responsibilities was to establish stable and reliable communications infrastructure connecting the various exercise locations. Our team provided internet connectivity, dedicated data links between locations, and other essential communication solutions to ensure effective information exchange throughout the exercise. However, our work did not stop with the original plan. During the exercise, following an assessment of communication requirements and opportunities to improve connection stability, a decision was made to deploy additional fibre-optic infrastructure. As a result, more than 5 kilometres of fibre-optic cable were installed, further enhancing the stability and reliability of data transmission between the exercise locations. This solution demonstrates how the LIRA 7 team operates in dynamic environments – not simply following the initial plan, but continuously assessing requirements and implementing improvements even while the project is underway. No matter how thoroughly an event is planned, new tasks, technical challenges, and additional requirements can arise during its execution.

For this reason, providing responsive technical support throughout the exercise was a key part of LIRA 7’s responsibilities. Our team addressed technical issues, fulfilled new requests from the organisers, adapted existing solutions, and introduced additional technical improvements whenever necessary. This approach requires more than technical expertise. It demands the ability to make informed decisions, prioritise effectively, and identify the most practical solution for each situation. For LIRA 7, delivering on agreed responsibilities is only part of the commitment. Equally important is being a reliable partner when fast, practical solutions are needed.

Beyond Technology

The LIRA 7 team also developed a consistent visual communication approach tailored to the specific requirements of the exercise. This included designing and producing handouts, informational materials, diagrams, on-site signage, and other visual communication elements. For events of this scale, design serves a purpose far beyond aesthetics. Well-structured visual communication helps organise information, simplifies navigation, and supports a consistent understanding of the exercise environment and procedures. By combining design with practical functionality, LIRA 7 ensured that visual materials not only established a cohesive identity for the exercise but also served specific operational and organisational purposes.

LIRA 7’s involvement in Baltic Trust 2026 extended beyond IT infrastructure and visual communication. To support the broader organisational requirements of the exercise, our team also took responsibility for engaging external service providers and coordinating essential services.

This included working with partners responsible for:

  • Catering services throughout the exercise;
  • Power generators to provide the electrical capacity required for infrastructure and operational needs;
  • Professional audio support for the exercise’s closing demonstrations.

These responsibilities required close cooperation with specialists from different industries, as well as the ability to coordinate multiple interconnected activities within demanding schedules. Our priority was to provide organisers with a dependable partner capable not only of delivering technical solutions but also of sourcing and coordinating the additional resources necessary for the successful execution of the event.

When Everything Is Planned, More Can Be Achieved in Less Time

Baltic Trust 2026 provided the LIRA 7 team with an opportunity to demonstrate its ability to manage complex projects that bring together technology, logistics, design, and rapid problem-solving.

Months of preparation, infrastructure deployed within 48 hours, more than 5 kilometres of fibre-optic cable installed, and complete dismantling within 24 hours – these figures reflect not only the scale of the work delivered but also our approach to every challenge.

We believe that with the right planning, an experienced team, and a proactive mindset, even the most demanding client requirements can be successfully delivered within tight deadlines.

We would like to thank the organisers of Baltic Trust 2026, our cooperation partners, and all teams involved for their trust and successful collaboration.
